I taught at Medinah District #11 for seven years. After that I have been with
District 20 since 1991.
I received a B.S. from Northeastern Il University in Chicago, and a Master's
Degree in Education from National Louis University at the Wheaton campus. My
endorsements include ESL, Bilingual and Political Sciences. I have taught
Junior High seventh and eight grade. At Greenbrook School I teach
ELL/Bilingual to third, fourth, fifth graders.
I live in Roselle. My youngest daughter, Alina is a graduate from the
University of Illinois at Urbana, Champaign. My son Alf Has a Master's degree
from Western IL University. I love to visit new places. This Summer I
traveled to China with my husband Hon Ho. We were there for 21 wonderful
days! I have been in Spain two times, once to attend a teacher's Literature
Institute at the Complutense University of Madrid. I have been to Peru, South
America and yes,
I was born and raised in Cuba.
The mission of the ELL/Bilingual team is to strive for continuos improvement
in the target language,encourage best effort to communicate within and beyond
the classroom setting, both in academic and social situations. This includes
solving problems, understanding of the culture, and making connections to the
real world.
