Second Annual Artist Trading Card Contest!

For the second year, this class has had the opportunity to participate in the Hillel Torah Artist Trading Card Contest!

The goal of creating artist trading cards is to allow the students to work with a variety of media, while at the same time experimenting in mixing materials and finding the best ways to create new art work.

When the cards are completed, they are laminated and then traded amongst each other. By trading cards the students have the opportunity not only for social interaction, but to experience new art and share their own artistic skills with everyone else.

In addition to trading the cards, the students also entered their cards in our contest. This year there were two contests. One was a generic contest for any subject matter or material. The second was for the best cards depicting our school themes of Shabbat and Channukah.

In total the students created several hundred cards, which made for some great trading. Nice work this years!
