The sixth graders are learning about how magma and lava play a role in composing various types of rocks. We will studying three specific rock groups: igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rocks. The geologists of sixth grade will examine various rocks from the rock groups and describe their texture and usage.

The students will also work on note taking in class.
