Week of Nov.16:
Because of special programs and Rosh Chodesh, we have had shortened first
periods. We continue in Parshat Vaetchanan,pesukim 23& 24 and their Rashis.We
will work on questions 5-8.
Week of Nov.9:
We continue in Parshat Vaetchanan,with Rashis in possuk 23. On Monday we
heard a speaker for Kristallnacht and on Wed.,the girls have the Chevrutah
program
Week of Nov.2:
We are working on Seftei Chachamim together with Rashi. The class is using
graphic organizers to help "map" out the Rashis, his answers and the reason
for two answers.We will try to also to learn the Da'at Zekeinim for possuk 1.
Week of Oct.26:
We learn the beginning of "Vaetchanan",3:23-29.We will learn the first Rashi
and the Da'at Zekainim on the first possuk. Also to help us understand the
Rashis we will learn how to use the Seftei Chachamim.
Week of Oct.19:
We have finally finished our first unit and will have our test on Wed. Oct
22. On Friday we will begin the Tefillah of Moshe Rabeinu.
The same question as last week will remain for this week.
Week of Oct.13:
Welcome back! We will complete our unit on Teshuva this week and determine a
test date for next week.On Wed. the class begins their Chevruta Program.We
will start a new unit, the Tefillah of Moshe Rabeinu at the beginning of
Parshat Vaetchanan.
Question of the week: Name two other places in the Chumash where Moshe
davened.
Week of Sept 21:
We have touched upon some other sources to explain what Teshuva is. There
will be a quiz on this on Wednesday.We continue in Parshat Nizavim with the
Ramban in possuk 6. The assignment is to answer questions 1-6.
Question of the week: What is the root of the word (in Hebrew) of Teshuva?
Explain.
Week of Sept. 14:
We have begun the Parsha of Teshuva in Parshat Nitzavim.We will learn the
Ramban on the first possuk and the Rashi on possuk 3.Also we will explore
other sources of Teshuva and how they relate to our pesukim.
Because there were no answers sent to me for the question of the week,I will
not change it for this week. Please e-mail me your answers.
Week of Sept.7:
This week we will learn the Ramban's introduction to Devarim with questions
for homework. Afterwards we will start the Parsha of Teshuva in Parshat
Nitavim. It is in Pereck 30 pesukim 1-10.
