Please refer to the heading "Class Schedule" and look 
up your class.

What do I need to wear for gym?


If you are in Kindergarten: shorts or pants, and socks and gym 
shoes.
If you are in grades 1 through 4: shorts or pants, and socks and 
gym shoes. 
Your gym shoes should have either velcro or laces...no slip-ons 
and no backless.
If you are in grades 5 through 8, you must change your clothes 
for gym.  
This includes your shirt (bring a comfortable t-shirt, you can 
wear shorts(as long as they come down to your knees) or pants (not 
the ones you wore to school) and everyone must have socks and a 
pair of gym shoes with good support.

What does my child do in Gym class?


1. Warm-ups:stretching,muscle strengthening and cardiovascular 
endurance.
2. Skill Building.
3. Lead up games/cooperative games.
4. Team sports
5. Physical fitness training and testing.
6. Lifetime fitness activities including roller skating/blading.

What are the rules my child will be expected to follow?


1. Keep all body parts to yourself.
2. Respect the teacher,your class mates and the equipment.
3. Listen and follow directions.
4. Play fair and follow the rules.
5. Be a good sport.
6. Give your best effort.
7. Have fun.

Special girl information.


If you are a girl with longish hair, please know it MUST be 
pulled back into a ponytail or any other way to keep it away from 
your face. Also, remember no dangling earrings or hoops.  Gym is 
not 
a fashion show, so please leave all your jewelery off for class.

Special boy information.


All boys are required to wear their kepot during class.Hats are 
not acceptable.

What are the consequences for not being prepared?


No child will be able to participate in gym class without gym 
shoes.
These consequences are per trimester and at the end of each 
trimester, the kids are given a clean slate and start over.
First through Fourth Grade:  
First and Second time - oral warning given to student
Third time - call to parent asking for their involvement in 
helping their child to remember their gym clothing.
Fourth time � detention after school.
Fifth through Eighth Grade
First and Second time  - warning
Third time � detention after school that day or the next day
