Week of Nov.9:
The class will review the Rashis and the Ramban by illustrating them. We
continue in pereck 8 pesukim 5-14, using the workbook,pp.14-17. Please
remember to sign the Parsha sheet after Shabbos.
Question of the week: To whom does Rashi equate the Leviim with for the
reason that they need purification?
Week of Nov.2:
In the beginning of Behaalotecha, we learn about the Menorah,pereck 8:1-5. We
learn the Rashis: possuk 1 and Ramban on this possuk. We will use a graphic
organizer to help organize all the Peirushim.In the workbook , we will do
pp.14-16.
Question of the week: What else in the Mishkan was made out of one piece of
gold?
Week of Oct.26:
This week we conclude our study of Parshat Naso. We learned a few topics from
this Parsha, Nazir and Bircat Cohanim. We will begin Parshat Behaalotecha.
The students had an enjoyable Siyum on Parshat Bamidbar, with food, games on
the Parsha and a beautiful D'var Torah.
Question of the week: When is Bircat Cohanim done at the Kotel?
Week of Oct 13:
We begin learning the end of Parshat Bamidbar. The reveiw game covered the
first three perakim of the Parsha. We will learn the last pereck and do pp 12-
13 in the workbook. The date for the test will be announced at end of the
week.
Question of the week: In Parshat Naso we learn about the Nazir. Name two
famous Nezirim fron Tanach.
2 with the students making their own charts of the
camps of Bnei Yisroel.In pereck 3 we will learn pesukim 1-10 and Rashi in
possuk 1. The class will be working in pairs. We will also talk about Kriat
Hatorah for Yom KIppur and Parshat Hashavua.
Question of the week: In pereck 4 possuck 4 it says that Kehat's job was the
Kodesh Kedoshim. What does this mean?
Week of Sept.14:
We are completing the first pereck,with the numbers of the tribes.We will
work in the workbook pp 1-2 and make a chart of all the tribes.We will begin
pereck 2 and learn where everyone camped. Before Rosh Hashana we will talk
about the Kriyat Hatorah of the Chag.
Question of the week: From what age was Shevet Levi counted?
Week of Sept.7:
We have begun Parshat Bamidbar pereck 1. This week we will continue through
possuk 19 and learn three Rashis: 1,2,&4. We will write out the Rashis that
we learn and translate them in Ivrit. On Thursday we will have a quiz on the
chart of happenings in the desert.
