HOLY
CROSS SCHOOL COMPUTER LAB
From
creating graphs in Excel for science class to providing kindergarteners with a
way to practice their phonics, technology is fully integrated into the
curriculum at Holy Cross School. Technology is a vital part of the daily
learning experience.
Jr.
High students are
using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) therefore re-enforcing
their keyboarding skills. Also
including vital research, which is important piece in classroom assignments.
This year they are
learning to access their Online Math textbooks.
Intermediate
students are
doing a variety of programs including learning to access Online textbooks.
Our
4th graders are continuing to practice their keyboarding skills as
well as continue learning to use Microsoft Word. During computer time their
teacher comes with their class to work on pre-planned curriculum based
activities.
The
5th graders are using Microsoft Word to record their individual
activities with material from the Internet for classroom projects; Excel will
be introduced to design Science graphs, plus working on newsletters & poems.
As with the other classes during computer time their teacher is
coming with their class to work on pre-planned curriculum based activities.
Primary students
are practicing their problem solving. As
with the other classes during computer time their teacher comes with their
class to work on curriculum based activities.
3rd
graders will
continue using their full name plus their own special password as a login.
2nd
graders are able
to login to the server & select web pages with programs.
1st
graders will be trying different activities connected to classroom
curriculum.
Kindergarteners
will be working on their Teacher Web page links.
