A Peek At The Week

This year has flown by so fast; its hard to believe that end of the year is around the corner.

We have been busy learning/reviewing the lower and upper case letters of the alphabets we did so far.

This Week, Insha Allah

Theme: Rhyme time

Letter Of The Week: O (Recognition and related vocabulary)

Number 11, 12(recognition, formation and counting)

Few/more, Shorter /Longer Pentagon, Few/more

Islamic Studies: Hajj

Language Arts:  This coming week, we will focus on the letter Oo. Oo makes the sound /o/ like in October, olive, and Octopus! We will be learning how to write the letter Oo too! Although we will focus on Oo, students are exposed to all the letters in the alphabet on a daily basis!

Maths: I n Math, we will be graphing the weather, working with the calendar, counting by 1’s, 2s! We will be working on identifying yesterday, today, and tomorrow. We will be identifying the terms “most” and “least.” Keep counting at home! Students should be able to count to 50 by the end of the quarter without skipping any numbers.

IMPORTANT

Our first field trip to Chicago Children museum will be on Dec 21^st 2009, the cost for the trip is $10:00. Please sign and send the permission slip with money by Wednesday Dec.16^th 2009.

If any of you are interested to join us as chaperone. Please pay 4:50 and let us know by Thursday.

Homework is due on Wednesday
