The Kinnikinnick School District cafeterias offer treats for celebrating student birthday or other
parties in your District classrooms in order to help parents comply with the District’s Policy on
outside foods. This Policy states:
Foods brought from home for consumption in classroom must be purchased
ready-to-eat and be wrapped in the original packaging with ingredients listed.
The school will be an allergy aware school district. The guidelines for
managing students with food allergies will be followed.
The cafeteria will have the required ingredient list available for inspection and ensure that all
allergy guidelines are followed for treats supplied at your request.
Treat orders must be placed at least two weeks prior to the event by submitting a completed
order form along with payment to the building office. Payment must accompany the order form.
On the date designated on the order form, your order will be available for your child to pick up in
their school’s office.
You and/or your child may choose one (1) individually wrapped treat from the following list for
each of your child’s classmates:
1. Frosted chocolate cupcake with sprinkles, or
2. Frosted white cupcake with sprinkles, or
3. Scooby Doo cinnamon graham cracker sticks, or
4. Rice Krispie treat, or
5. Quaker chewy chocolate chip granola bar, or
6. Strawberry Fruit Rollup, or
7. Watermelon Blast Fruit Gusher.
Only a single selection is allowed in hopes of avoiding classroom disruptions due to arguments
or hurt feelings on what should be a fun and festive occasion. You may want to order a few
extra if your child would like the teacher, principal, or any others to have one of their treats.
The cost per treat is fifty cents ($0.50) and a carton of milk can be supplied for forty cents
($0.40) more.
