What is the grade scale?

What is the best way to reach the teacher?

What happens when my child is absent?
A guardian or parent may call in and request for homework to be made ready
for pick-up. Once your child returns (not receiving homework in advance)he
or she will go to the "Pink Folder". In that folder will be the day(s) worth
of notes/activities/descriptions/assignments/hand-outs. Your child will be
expected to get the work in (a) When they arrive back to school healthy, or
(b) The day after they receive the make-up work, or (c) You and your child
have been given different accommodations set upon teacher approval.
**What is the homework policy (Late/Re-do policies)*
Students have a wonderful opportunity in my classroom!!!! After I have
graded an assignment (not a quiz/test) and they receive a grade lower than a
B- (86%), they have the chance to re-do it! This policy goes for all
assignments* BY MY DISCRETION. Each student may have ONE DAY to return the
assignment, however it must be in before the morning bell. For example, your
child gets a C on a worksheet...they will get it back sometime during the
day...they must return it by the next mornings bell to be accepted. In other
words, do not forget to hand it in! No exceptions will be made with this
policy.
*The only exclusion for the re-do policy is the Spelling Bookwork. This
assignment is NOT eligible for redo.
**Late Homework DOES NOT get the re-do privilege. Five points will be
automatically deducted on the first day the assignment is late and one
point each day thereafter.
***If any student has any late or missing work, they MUST complete the
missing/late work if they choose to take advantage of the re-do policy.
After completing the late work, your child will then regain
the opportunity to complete upcoming re-do's.
****I reserve the right to revoke the re-do privilege at any time if I feel
that it is being abused.
*****Please still encourage your child to do their best the first time and
to get their work in on time!
