H1N1 Update:
No date has yet been set by the health department as to the day they will come for the shots. They are
finding out how many vaccinations are needed for each place and then going from there.
Please send in the paperwork if your child will be given the vaccination whether they are or are not
receiving it. If you threw away the paper and are NOT planning on having your child receive the
vaccination, please send in a note saying so with a signature.
*Report Cards will be coming home Friday, Oct. 30th along with your conference appointment slips!
*Quarter 2: AR due Jan. 13
Quarter 2 Reminders:
Redo paperwork is always due BEFORE the morning bell. (Children can also explain how work is
collected in the morning if you have any other questions on the process.)
If you have difficulty the first time on an assignment, redo's may be a possibility (Remember, ask
questions if you are unclear about information or directions).
Read directions and information in the books as well as worksheets even though we read them aloud in
class! All worksheets are created, approved, and follow state and school standards at a fourth grade
level. If you see your child struggling, please contact me so we can work out a plan together to help
them out!

Conferences occurred today with children who are failing or are nearing a failing grade! Please talk to
your child to see if they heard from me concerning grades. We also had a class conversation about
following directions, reading all directions, and taking our time. Too many students are rushing
through their work and earning failing grades as a result!
Please help me in this ongoing effort with
your children by looking over their assignments to see if they did not do the best they could for lack of
reading and talk with them. If we all work together (Students....you are the main player here), we'll have
little Einstein's running around!
