About The Teacher

Mrs. King has been a teacher in the Knoxville District for thirty-two 
years.  She is a graduate of Knoxville High School and Knox College.  She 
has been married for thirty-four years to Kirk King, who is also a graduate 
of Knoxville and Knox. They have two children, Jenny and Kellen.  Jenny is 
twenty-six and a recent graduate of the University of South Carolina where 
she graduated with a 3.9 WOW, and is currently working in real-estate
in the QC area with a staging/design business and is "flipping" homes with her
father and boyfriend, Corey.
Kellen is twenty-three and a recent Bradley University graduate.  He graduated
Magna cum laude in May and has recently moved to Phoenix Arizona, where he
plans to work in the finance industry.\
Mrs. King has taught at Appleton Elem. 1st and 2nd grades,and Mable 
Woolsey, 1st, 3rd, and 4th grades.  She has taught 5th grade since 1997. 
Mrs. King is excited to be back to school.  She hopes everyone had a good
summer and is ready to get back to the business of learning. The fifth grade
has some changes this year-which will be harder for the teachers to adjust to
than the incoming students.  Fifth grade is an exciting new adventure for the
students.  Welcome to KJHS!
