I am starting my 16th year in Knoxville District #202. My husband,
Robert, and I moved to Galesburg 22 years ago. We share our home with 1 cat,
Stanley.
Robert and I are parents to three grown children. Mary lives in Greeley,
CO with her husband, Sean. Mary is currently a full-time mom to their
daughter, Isabel, and dog, Wrigley. Sean practices law.
Our daughter, Maggie, and her husband, Mike, live in Chandlerville, IL.
(Chandlerville is south Havana about 20 miles.) Maggie is a Veterinary
Technician and works in Jacksonville while Mike works for FS as a field
sprayer. They are the parents to our grandsons. Bryce is three. For Bryce's
3rd birthday, he got a new baby brother! Bradyn is 2 months old.
Our son, Emil, is a graduate of Illinois State University. He currently
lives and works in Galesburg.
My hobbies include playing with Bryce and Bradyn and Isabel, gardening, cross-
stitching, cooking, walking and bicycling, and volunteering at my church. My
husband and I also volunteer each week at Henry C. Hill Prison in Galesburg.
I strive to prepare the 5th graders for success in Junior High School. I
teach by the philosophy that all students can learn, and it is my job to
educate them as much as possible in the short time I have them in class.
I try to build self-confidence in students first by guiding them to success.
I feel that once students feel confident, they will be successful not only in
school, but in life.
I feel in order to gain respect, respect must first by given.
