JThank you for sending in ice cream toppings and helping your child prepare their ABC Lincoln books. Our science experiment was yummy to celebrate the end of our Lincoln unit, too. Thank you!

Announcements:
JWe will be cleaning out desks and lockers on Tuesday and Wednesday. Please send in bags to take items home. Our school is also recycling any school supplies that you no longer want. Thank you!

JWe will be signing yearbooks as a school on Wednesday. If your child does not have a yearbook, I will have autograph paper for them.
We will have a class pizza party for lunch on Wednesday. You do not need to send a lunch or money with your child that day unless they do not want pizza. We will also have drinks and cookies.

Reminders:
JWe will not have school next Thursday; however, please plan to come up to our classroom at some time between 8 – 11 a.m. I will have report cards, Stanford scores, and a special gift for the class.J

JHave you checked out our class webpage? Emily did a great job reporting this week. We will try to make time for Greg to do a final class report next week. Feel free to use any of the links this summer to keep skills fresh. I will add any that I come across as helpful practice.

A Peek at Our Week:
*In language this week we created poems with partners and on our own. We then wrote the poems around the track outside to share them with others. We also took our post-test and prepared our portfolios of all of our writing from the year. These should be in today’s backpacks.

*In social studies we are worked hard on our Lincoln ABC books and shared them with each other. We also took our Lincoln unit post-test and read about how we all eat too much sugar in our “Time for Kids” magazine.

* In science we made and ate ice cream. Our energy transfers and changes of state were successful and delicious!
