Computer Lab Expectations

Here are the computer lab expectations.

EXPECTATION #1: MAKE GOOD CHOICES

Be nice to others.
No fighting, arguing, swearing or name-calling.
Work quietly when visitors enter the room.
Use your INSIDE VOICE.
Open only your work.
Raise you hand to ask questions or to participate in class discussions.
Keep your hands on your own computer.
Help others with your mouth not their mouse!
Stay in your seat.

EXPECTATION #2: TAKE CARE OF THE COMPUTER EQUIPMENT

Do not write on the table, mouse, keyboard or mouse pad.
Do not bang on the keyboard or mouse.
Do not touch the computer screen.
No candy, gum or food is allowed in the lab.
Do not move, delete or change any of the files or icons.
Do not write on the table, mouse, keyboard or computer.

EXPECTATION #3:DO YOUR BEST WORK

Do your best on your work.
Bring a pencil to the computer lab.
Email all of your work to the teacher.
Do not print pictures or articles from the internet. You need to copy it on to a Word document before you print.
Ask for permission before you print any work.
Click Print once.

EXPECTATION #4: FOLLOW INTERNET RULES

Only visit approved websites
No personal email.
No chatting, FaceBook. MySpace, YouTube or Twitter
Never give out personal information.

ARRIVAL PROCEDURES

Come in quietly
Move to your assigned computer when your computer number is called.
Read the assignment on the computer screen.
Snap your fingers to let me know you have read the instructions and are ready to begin.

DISMISSAL PROCEDURES: When the lights go out, GIVE ME 5!

1) Save work. /Quit programs./Log off the computer.
2) Place headphones on the table to the right of the screen.
3) Straighten keyboard/mouse
4) Gather material/trash
5) Push in your chair and stand behind it until I call your computer number to line up.
