Classroom Rules

On the Road to Great Behavior
Go for the Green!

Second grade students will be expected to follow school,
classroom, and playground rules.

Classroom Rules
Listen Carefully
Follow Directions
Raise Your Hand to Speak
Stay in Your Seat
Treat Others as You Would Want to be Treated
Use Inside Voices and Walking Feet
Respect School Materials
Consequences
Our classroom has a stoplight pocket chart. Each student

has a stick with his/her name on it. Sticks begin each day on the green light

in the chart. Green means "Great Behavior".

If a rule is broken, the student will be given a chance to improve the behavior.
The child will move his stick from green to the yellow light in the chart
as a reminder to follow rules.

If another rule is broken, the child will move the stick to the red light. We will discuss
the misbehavior and they will miss 10 minutes of either recess or computer lab. A
Behavior Reflection form will be filled out during this time. It will be sent home for
a parent signature.

If the behavior persists, the stick will be moved out of the chart and on to my desk. A visit
to the principal office and a call home will take place.

I love to reward positive behavior and will do it in various ways throughout the year!
