Prepare your child for next year! Providing your child with weekly lessons
during the summer can help in several ways:
* Tutoring can help a student who struggles in a particular subject
learn skills that will lead them to mastery.
* Summer tutoring helps to maintain students' understanding of topics
so that the child doesn't forget concepts previously taught. This leads to a
very important factor in a child's education - confidence!
* Tutoring offers opportunities for extension and challenge that go
beyond basics often taught in the classroom setting.
This summer I am limiting tutoring to reading groups, which will focus
on comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, and other reading skills. We'll also be
writing about our reading. The books will be determined based on the level and
interest of the group. If you have a group of 3 to 6 that are interested, let
me know!
The first reading group will meet June 12, 14, 19, 21
The second reading group will meet June 26, 28, July 10, 12
The final reading group will meet July 17, 19, 24, 26
