Grades 3 & 4:
Third and fourth grade students will be strengthening their concepts of rhythm, melody, harmony, form, and music theory through singing, moving, and playing various instruments. One of these instruments includes the recorder, which third grade students will be beginning this year.
Grade 5
Students in fifth grade will be advancing in their knowledge of rhythm, melody, harmony, form, and music theory mainly through singing. As fifth grade students meet twice every week for choir, we will practice using proper singing technique through rehearsing a variety of choral literature.
