Week on Dec.14-18 Reading: Students will learn a new word..."my" and they will do a worksheet on it. They will also look for the word my in books. Students will review "at" family words and will also focus on the letter R and T and the sound it makes. Students will do activities on the "R and T" letter sound. Students will listen to the following stories: "Jonathan and his Mommy" and "In The Big Blue Sea." students will also learn how to read color words. Science:Students will focus on how animals are alike and different. Students will also learn that animals have different kinds of body coverings and they will learn how these coverings help the animals. Social studies: Students will focus on the concept of Neighborhoods and what they consist of. Math: Students focus on telling time by the hour and ordinal numbers. Students also focus on patterns. They will learn a new concept of recognizing a penny and how much it is worth. Art: Students will make a winter bulletin board!
