Dear Parents,
Asalamu Alaikum!
Welcome back to school! My name is Mrs. Ghazna Siddiqui and Inshallah I
will be your child’s teacher this year. I have been teaching at MCC Full Time
School for two years and this is my third year here Alhamdullilah! I have
taught at other private schools such as Bright Horizons and Crème De Le Crème
as a Kindergarten teacher as well. I graduated from National Louis University
and have a Bachelors degree in Education with a minor in English.
Just a few reminders to keep in mind are: in the month of Ramadan, the school
timings will be 8:10 AM to 2:30 PM Monday thru Thursday. On Friday’s students
will be dismissed at 3:00 PM due to Friday Salah. Also, Students should bring
a lunch from home for the month of Ramadan. THERE IS NO HOT LUNCH PROVIDED.
There is no microwave in the classroom so please pack your child’s lunch
accordingly. Students should bring in an extra snack and drink for the
afternoon as well. Please make sure that the snack your child brings is
healthy. I will not allow any candy, chips or cookies for afternoon snack.
Students may bring vegetables, fruits, granola bars, cereal such as cheerios
or froot loops, yogurt etc. Also, open house will be on Wednesday, August 26,
2009 Inshallah. I highly recommend that you attend this event. I will be going
over curriculum, classroom rules/policies and other important information.
Mrs. Amrin Ahmed will be my assistant as well as the Islamic Studies
teacher. Some of the other teachers that will be teaching the Kindergarteners
are Ms. Fatima Musa (Arabic), Mrs. Wahdan (Quran) and Brother Tai (gym).
Inshallah we will be going on many field trips this year and I would like you
to purchase a mini backpack for field trip days. Please purchase these as soon
as possible because they are hard to find in the middle of the school year.
Once you have purchased them, please keep them at home and we will let you
know when to bring them in.
Last but not least, I am very excited to have your child in my class and
I look forward to having a wonderful school year with you and your child
