Message from the desk of Mr. Cerny

Registration for next year's classes...

Now you have made it through the first half of your first year in high school.  Your first set of exams are behind you so now you should feel like a real high school student.

You need to know that a counselor will be talking with each of you soon about your selection of classes for next year.  You should have received a handout including a letter explaining registration and a copy of the original registration form from your mentor.  You will notice that the registration form has two parts.  Your teachers will choose the five required courses based on this year's classes so you will need to select two classes from the elective list.  Talk the options over with your parents,  make your selections, and write them on the  sheet before you are called to guidance.

Keep in mind that you must complete 2 full credits of fine arts (foreign language, art, or music), in addition to the other graduation requirements, before the end of your senior year.  Bring the sheet with you when you are called to register.

You will be called to guidance for registration purposes based on the date your registration fee is paid.

If you plan on taking the AP World History class, remember you must first be recommended by your Freshman English or Social Studies teacher and have a check for $95 written to Marian Central Catholic High School with you at the time of registration.
