Yearbook

Welcome to the Publications/Yearbook webpage!

Every year, we begin with a completely empty book and meticulously fill it with a year's full of memories and moments.  In order to do this, all staffers MUST deliver on their pages.

Workdays:

The staff is given THREE workdays a week (M-W-F) and will be expected to use this time productively.  On Mondays, editors will recap the previous week's objectives, discuss this week's to-do list, and address questions/concerns.  Staffers will be expected to fill out workday sheets and TURN THEM IN every Friday.  Staffers have the opportunity to earn 30 points per week, based on their progress in class.

*NOTE* ALL staffers will be allowed up to 3 excused workday absences per quarter!  After that, you will lose workday points, unless you can demonstrate that you have worked on your pages on your own time.  Editors are able to verify your activity online - please always make sure to remain in contact with your editors should absences come up.  Deadlines to the production plant cannot be changed!

Working on Pages:
Photos -
Staffers are responsible for their pages (usually a two-page spread) and may use "buddies" to obtain photos to use.  REMEMBER - photos must NOT ever come from Facebook or any other social networking site.  If you see a photo on Facebook that you would like to include in the yearbook, you must obtain the original .jpg from the person.
Quotes -
All quotes need these Quote Verification Forms attached at time of submission to the editors.  You will lose points if you do not have this included!

All pages must be submitted to your editors with a YB Page Rubric attached.  Your editors will give you your initial grade and will return it with comments/suggestions for changes.  Please make necessary changes, then resubmit to your adviser for your final grade.  Your initial grade (editor grade) and your Adviser grade will be added together, then divided by 2.  This will be your final grade entered into the system.  The higher your initial grade, the higher your final grade will be!
