CALCULATOR POLICY
You may use any four-function, scientific, or graphing calculator, unless it has features described in the prohibited list.
Prohibited Calculators
· The following types of calculators are prohibited:
· All calculators with built-in computer algebra system are prohibited. In this category include but not limited by this list are:
· Texas Instruments: all models numbers that begin with TI-89 or TI-92, and the TI-Nspire CAS
· Hewlett Packard: HP 45GII and all models numbers that begin with HP 40G HP 50G
· Casio: Algebra fx2.0, ClassPad 300, and all models numbers that begin with CFX 9970G
· Hand held, tablet, or laptop computers, including PDAs
· Electronic writing pads or pen-input devices
· Calculators build into cell phones or any other electronic communication devices
· Calculators with typewriter keypad(letters keys in QWERTY format)
· Calculators with an infrared data port
Suggested Calculators
· For all regular and honors sections of Algebra 1A, Algebra1B, Algebra 1, Geometry A, and Geometry a four function (× ÷ + -) calculator with the square root key.
· For all regular and honors sections of Algebra 2, Pre-Calc, and Calc the Texas Instruments: all models that begin with TI-83, TI-84, or the TI-Nspire
