Our five core words for the week are:

feel

This week we are discussing r-controlled vowels. Such as ER, IR and UR. The vowel does not have it's own sound, it is being "controlled"  by the sound of the /r/

We will discuss number words being hyphenated: twenty-one through twenty-nine, thirty-one through thirty-nine and so on through nintey-nine are always hyphenated

s sounds are next~

s, ss, c, sc, ce, ci and cy all are frequent spellings for /s/

DID   YOU   KNOW?
The most frequent spelling for the /s/ pattern is s occuring over 70% of the time. A /c/ spells /s/ almost 20% of the time

We will discuss prefixes and suffixes-

prefix comes before a word

suffix comes after a word
