This is my third year teaching fifth grade at Maroa-Forsyth Intermediate
School. I received my BS in Elementary Education from Monmouth
College in Monmouth, Illinois. I am currently working toward a master's
degree in Educational Administration through Eastern Illinois University.
My husband, Mr. Robinson, and I moved to Forsyth in June of 2006. Mr.
Robinson is a P.E. teacher for the Maroa-Forsyth Schools. Our daughter,
Korah Jo, was born on April 28th, 2008. We love
living in the area, and love our jobs in this wonderful school district!
I was raised on a small farm in Mount Vernon, Iowa where I grew up with one
older brother. My father is an insurance agent and my mother works at
Cornell College. My family still lives in Mount Vernon. GO HAWKEYES!
Some of my hobbies include raising my daughter, watching Trojan sporting
events, playing softball, knitting, rollerblading and reading.
I am looking forward to another fun and exciting year of learning!
My mission is to make my classroom a safe and positive learning
environment. I will establish fair rules and enforce them. I will treat
the students with dignity and encourage them to do the same with others. I
want my students to leave my class with respect for themselves and to
embrace the belief that they are responsible for their own actions in any
situation.
