Does my child need to bring a pair of gym shoes to school?

Yes, students need to bring an extra pair of gym shoes to keep in their 
lockers at school.  The reasons for this is that they will always have a 
pair of shoes to participate in gym class.  Also, the shoes at school stay 
clean and help protect the gym floor.

When do BEAR calendars need to be turned in?

Your child needs turn in their calendar by the 3rd of every month.

The way my child is going home has changed. Should I send a note?

Yes, always send a note if your child is having a change in the way they are
going home. I will always send children who are walking or picked-up out the
back door and bus riders go out the front door.

My child's birthday is next week can he/she bring a treat?

Yes, your child may bring in a birthday treat.  Please be sure that the treat
is easy to hand out.  Drinks are not allowed for birthdays.  If possible,
please let me know when your child will be bringing in their birthday treat.

My child was sick, can I pick up missing work?

If your child has been absent, just give the main office a call and I will 
be happy to send home a folder of missing work.

My child is student of the week, what does that mean?

Students will be chosen randomly each week to be student of the week.  When 
your child is chosen he/she will bring home a paper on Friday to be 
completed and returned on Monday.  The paper will be posted all week.  In 
addition, if your child wants to bring in something to share with the class 
(show and tell) this is the time to do it. On Friday, your child will share 
information and can show the item he/she has brought to school.

How is homework graded?

Students are given completion grades for homework. If they have completed it 
and turned it in.

When is homework assigned and when is it due?

Homework will be given on Mondays for the week. Homework is always due on Friday.
