Read and discuss fiction or nonfiction books everyday with your student.

Have your student read to you (little books from school baggy books) everyday.

 

Whenever the opportunity arises -  have your child draw and write about something that has happened or he/she is looking forward to.

 

Whenever the opportunity arises - have your student count something, label counted quantities with numerals, notice patterns and shapes in the environment.

 

Play board games or card games as a family.
