1. Will my first grader have homework every night?

Will my first grader have homework every night?

Yes!  The children should be reading at least 15-20 minutes each night.  This
could be a story read alone or with help.  There should be a math activity
sheet sent home almost every night also.  There will be  notes in the DAILY
REPORT about what nights there will be assigned math homework.  Your first
grader should also practice the WORD WALL WORDS each night to prepare for the
word wall check on Friday, and to build up reading and spelling skills.
