PLAID Pad

Welcome to the PLAID Pad, our Extended Day Program!! We at PLAID Academy are
very pleased to be able to provide this service to you.

These are the basic policies and procedures of the Program. Communciation
between home and the Extended Day Program are frequent and open.

We work very hard to make our Extended Day Program a family and
atmosphere rather than school and student centered. One
of our goals is to be a bridge between school and home. For this reason, we
call our Program The PLAID Pad.

The goals of the PLAID Pad Extended Day Program are:
* To support parents who are working
* To complement the child's family
* To supplement the child's school
* To meet the child's developmental needs: Physically, socially,
emotionally and intellectually
* To be a place where children can develop skills, form friendships and
discover new interests
* To be in a place with a caring adult
* To have time for relaxing, having fun, enjoying friends and doing what
you want for a while
* To be a family service with equal concern for the needs and well-being of
both the child and his/her parents
