I have been a teacher at Park View since 1992. I taught second
grade for twenty-one years. This year is my second year as a Reading
teacher.
I am the proud mother of Kate, an attorney, and Mike, a
graduate of the University of Iowa. I love children, my
job and learning. I earned a Master's Degree in Reading.
Outside of school, I enjoy reading, walking, dancing, going to the
theater,trying new restaurants and especially the CUBS!! Well, maybe not so
much this season!
Every student will develop the necessary skills, vocabulary, fluency and
comprehension strategies to be successful readers. By becoming proficient
readers,students will achieve in other curricular areas, as well. Each
student will develop a love of reading and become enthusiastic life-long
learners.
The "Golden Rule" will be practiced at all times. Everyone will be treated
with respect and kindness.
