I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in
Language Arts and Social Sciences at Illinois State University. I began
teaching in Naperville and had the opportunity to loop with my fourth graders
to fifth grade. After two memorable years in District 204, I decided to move
closer to my family and friends and was lucky enough to find Park View where I
have been teaching for the past 5 years. The Park View community is always so
warm and welcoming! I recently completed my master's in Curriculum &
Instruction at Concordia University and currently take classes in a reading
master's program at Northeastern University.
My husband and I live in Mt. Prospect with our beloved dog, Chief. When I'm
not teaching, I enjoy reading, exercising, trying out new restaurants and one
of my favorite loves, traveling.
Fourth grade is a very exciting and fun age group to teach. Getting to know
each student's unique personality and learning styles is so interesting. I
feel grateful for the wonderful students in my class every year!
My goal for my students is push themselves to work toward their potential
in and out of the classroom. Each student will develop a love of learning
and continue avid reading.

the way the child learns" - Rita Dunn
