I am looking forward to a very exciting year working with each of my
students. While this is my ninth year teaching first grade, I have been
teaching since 1982. First grade is such an exciting year for the students,
parents and myself. You will be amazed at how much your first grader will
learn this year!
My undergraduate degrees are in Early Childhood Education and Elementary
Education. I graduated from the University of Illinois in 1982. I received
my Master's Degree in Educational Therapy from National College. I am
certified to teach in the areas of early childhood education, elementary
education and special education.
I taught in the Niles Township Early Childhood Special Education Program at
Borg School from 1982-1991. I came to Park View in the fall of 1993. For
8 years I was a member of the special education team at the primary level.
I have been a member of the first grade team for many years and have worked
very closely with the other first grade teachers.
I live nearby in Skokie and love the area of Morton Grove and Skokie. I have
a son who is in 7th grade at Fairview South School, and a daughter who is a
freshman at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana.
All first grade students will have a wonderful first grade experience as
they learn, form relationships and develop positive self esteem.
