Welcome to first grade! I am happy to have your child in my classroom this year. Reading is a very important part of our curriculum and the more it is practiced, the better it will become. Please read with your first grader every day and remember to work on the Reading Record sheets and book reports. I will be telling you about these two assignments and much more at Curriculum Night on Thursday, September 10. I am hoping that you all can make it to school that night. I want to meet you and tell you about the first grade program. I feel that this is really important for you and your child.
