Professional Experience...

This is my fourth year teaching at Park View. I received my B.A. in
Elementary Education from Trinity International University and my M.A. in
Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University.

Prior to coming to Park View I worked for seven years as a teaching
assistant, on-campus substitute teacher, and special events/program
coordinator at private school in Northfield, IL. I also had the privilege of
teaching English in several public schools in Moscow, Russia for two schoo
years. While living in Moscow, I also volunteered in Russian orphanages.
After returning to the United States in the spring of 1994, I traveled
throughout the U.S. and Canada for three years leading character education
seminars for children K-6th grade.

My Vision for My Class...

Teaching is a calling for me, something I love to do. Every day offers new
opportunities to help children understand and apply new concepts, to
encourage them as they grow in their confidence of themselves and their
abilities, and to challenge them to recognize their value and take
responsibility for their influence. I want to foster an environment where
children feel accepted and comfortable, but are also challenged to grow
academically, socially, and emotionally.
