The Pre-Vet club will meet Wed, March 4th, from 3:30-4:30
All grade levels are welcome.
The club is now the proud sponsor of "Noel," a Saw-Whet Owl who
is a permanent resident at the University of Illinois, College of Veterinary
Medicine Wildlife Clinic. Our group donation will help support Noel and
all wildlife brought into the clinic for treatment. Stop by the room to see
Noel's picture, a thank you letter from the university, and a fact sheet
about her.
Pet care and other animal issues are discussed in the club. Older students are
given direction, encouragement, and advice in ways to increase their chances
of some day gaining acceptance to veterinary school. The club will have a Q&A
session with a real veterinarian (date TBA, parents and staff are encouraged
to attend). Hope to see you at our next meeting!
