I received my Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees in Communicative
Disorders from Northwestern University. I then worked as a speech
pathologist for SEDOL and School District 65. After I took a few years off
to be a full time mom, I was thrilled to become employed as a parttime
speech pathologist at Park View School. After three years in this position, I
decided to complete courses at National Louis University to become certified
in elementary education. I have taught the fourth grade for eleven years,
fifth grade for one year, and I am now teaching third, fourth, and fifth grade
PEP reading students .
My husband and I live in Evanston and are parents to three grown children.
While managing the household is much easier these days, I find myself
spending much more time emailing and talking on the
phone with my children. Somehow, you are always a mom.
"Miss Bonkers rose. "Don't fret!" she said.
You've learned the things you need
To pass the test and many more-
I'm certain you'll succeed.
We've taught you that the earth is round,
That red and white make pink,
And something else that matters more-
We've taught you how to think."
- Dr. Seuss
It is my hope that each student who enters room 100 will learn not only how
to think but also develop a lifelong love of learning.
