My name is Raquel Eshleman. I am a 4th year teacher. Some of you may
recognize me from Mrs. Johnson's 2005 4th Grade classroom; I was her student-
teacher (then, Ms. Lawless). Prior to that, I spent four years in Macomb
attending Western Illinois University. After graduating, I came back to this
area to be with my family, fiancé (now husband- Rick), and to finish raising
my kids~ Chelsee (16) & Harley (14).
This is my fourth year with the P-B-L School District. I absolutely love my
job! I am originally from Piper City, so I know the area well. As a matter-
of-fact, I was part of the "last" graduating class of Ford Central (1992), so
I already feel a connection to many. My family and I have extended that
connection even further and relocated to Loda.
I have several hobbies that keep me busy outside of school. I enjoy
scrapbooking, gardening, reading, playing with my dog, Oreo and my cats,
Cruella & Gucci, attending the extra-curricular activities of my children,
and of course, just spending time with my family.
Every student should feel safe in our classroom and have a positive
experience. Every student should believe that he/she has ownership in this
classroom; that it is not only my class, but his or hers as well. And
every student should feel they have a voice and that they can make a
difference!
