Educator's Section- Reading.

1. Bag-It-Book Cover Sheet- Each Monday, the kids are required to bring a

"Just Right" home to read. After they have read the book or chapter aloud,

a parent signs the sheet and returns the book and bag by the end of the week.

2. Class Centers- Each Monday, the kids are given a new set of centers to work

on, while I am doing a Guided Reading group.

3. Reading Cover Sheet- Our students have reading portfolios that follow them

from kindergarten- fifth grade. Each grade level fills in the cover sheet and

adds their grade level samples.

4. Beginning, Middle, and End- This is a wonderful sheet to help plot the

story line. It is from Margo Carrier in NH.

5. I Wonder Bookmark- These bookmarks help the children while they are

reading on their own. This was created by Joy Dewing in IN.

6. Compare and Contrast- This sheet helps the kids compare and contrast

characters, settings, things, etc. It is from Margo Carrier in NH.

7. Student Reading Logs- A sheet that helps the students keep track of

what they are reading during Self-Selected Reading. The sheet was created

by Joy Widemann in NC.

8. Novels- This is a list of books that our schools uses yearly. The list

contains novels and stories that are used as read-alouds and in groups.
