JANUARY IN THE WORLD OF ART

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I would like to thank all the parents
for their most generous contribution to the Teacher's Christmas Fund. Your kindness and generosity are so greatly appreciated.

Now for our Art news:

Grade 8-Still working hard on their Snowflake String Art projects-they will be on display for Catholic School Week

Grade 7-Beginning second Valentine String Art project-one will be on display for Catholic School Week,the other will be handed our to the adults attending 8:30 Mass during Valentine's Day week. They are doing a tremondous job on these and I know the adults will be touched to receive them.

Grade 6-Will be drawing their favorite place-dream vacation,place they've already been,or even our wonderful city of Chicago. They will then paint their scenes with water colors.

Grade 5-Will be making stained glass pictures using black construction paper and different colored pieces of tissue paper.

Grade 4-Will be drawing a winter scene using only black pencil-I know they will be fantastic!

Grade 3-Will be making heart mobiles which they will paint after the heart shape is finished.

Grade 2-Will be making heart sun-catchers and then Valentine Critters!

Grade 1-Check out the water color rainbows on the wall outside the faculty lounge starting this week-what a tremendous job they did! Next they will be doing a string of hearts for Valentine's Day!

Kng. & Pre-School-Will be painting hearts with water colors.
