Which calculator should I buy? We use the Texas Instrument calculator, the TI-84 plus or the TI-84 plus Silver Edition. The teachers use this calcuator for class demonstrations. The Geometry classes, 622 and 625, use the program which in on the TI-84, Cabri Jr. How can parents/guardians contact the teacher? The fastest way is by email, khuber@rdhs.org Phone messages are usually picked up once a day,at the end of the day. When is the teacher available for additional help? All students are welcome to come for additional help, it might be for only 10 min. or maybe longer, as needed. Mrs. Huber is in her classroom A308 before school, 7:30-7:50 and after school 3:00-3:30 Monday through Thursday, unless there is a faculty meeting. Starting in October, after school only on Monday through Wednesday, due to coaching the Freshmen Mathlete Team on Thursdays. All test and quiz papers are given a percent. These are averaged and count for 85% of the grade. Homework is is checked in daily. If complete it is worth 2 points. If not complete, it can be completed and turned in the next day for half credit, 1 point. Nothing is accepted after a day late. Total points completed out of the total possible of homework will be 15% of the quarter grade. What other additional help is available? Sr. Cora and Sr. Mary are available before school, during the day, and after school for help.They are in 201b, the Academic Resource Center. We also have Peer Tutors. These are students who have done well previously in a course and are willing to tutor. All Math Teachers and the Counselors have copies of this years list.(After Sept.5) |
