Mr. Szczepkowski will be teaching his eighth year at Regina in 2009-2010 and
is a proud graduate of the University of Illinois,Urbana-Champaign. He also
received his high school diploma from St. Laurence High School in Burbank,
Illinois. At St. Laurence, he ran Cross Country and Track and captained both
teams his senior year.
Szczepkowski is currently teaching Honors World History, Sociology, and
Contemporary Issues in the Social Studies department. Szczepkowski is also a
member of the Regina Athletic Department, serving as the new Head Cross
Country Coach for the 2009 season. Prior to this season, Szczepkowski has
served for the last 6 seasons as the Head Varsity Golf coach and has coached
Track and Field from 2004-2008 as well.
Previous to teaching at Regina, Szczepkowski worked in special education at
Peacock Middle School in Itsaca, helping behavior and emotional disorder
children in their studies.
Over the summers of 2007 and 2008, Szczepkowski expanded his educational
horizons by working with autistic children at Emerson Middle School in Park
Ridge. He is also excited about getting the opportunity to continue teaching
the wonderful young women at Regina Dominican High School.
Mr. Szczepkowski hopes his students will begin to understand just how
important and vital history and social studies are to our world. He also
expects his students to work hard in his class and to give their best effort
in obtaining knowledge.
