I am proud to say I am a Regina alumna, class of 1997. Upon graduating from
RDHS, I moved to the east coast where I attended Fairfield University, a
small Jesuit university in Connecticut. I graduated from Fairfield in 2001
with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, and am currently working towards
a Master's degree in Teaching at National Louis University. I had a
wonderful experience as a student at Regina and am thrilled to be back as a
teacher.
Over the course of the 2007-2008 school year, my primary goal is to
significantly improve the writing skills of each of my students. Students
in my classes can expect to complete a great deal of writing assignments
ranging anywhere from "Freewrite"'s to formal essays. In addition, students
should expect to compose a number of drafts on formal writing assignments so
that the end product is something of which we can both be proud.
Another goal in each of my classes this year is to expose students to a
broad spectrum of writing ranging from literature and prose to political
articles and commentaries. It is important that our students be proficient
in reading not only the classics but also texts that they may encounter in
the world beyond Regina.
I look forward to a fun and productive year with each of you!
