The importance of art...

Art is important because it helps all students to become active observers in
a world where they are constantly bombarded with visual communications. It
can also aid in developing a better understanding of other cultures and
lifestyles by viewing and responding to various forms of art. When students
learn to use their creativity as a means for expression it allows them to
better express their individual ideas as well as reevaluate misconceptions
they may have - eventually helping them to become more compassionate and
accepting.
