After graduating with a Bachelor Degree in Education in 2000, I initially worked as a
Kindergarten teacher for the Rockford Public Schools. I was thrilled to be offered a position
in the Kinnikinnick District in 2001 and loved teaching 6th grade at Kinnikinnick School.
Then, in 2004 I married my husband, Jeff, and together we moved to Arlington Heights
where I taught seventh grade. In 2005 Jeff decided to leave work to pursue a law degree at
Northern Illinois University. As a result, we were able to move back to Rockford, my
hometown. As it turned out, Roscoe Middle School was looking for a math teacher at the same
time I was looking for a teaching position back in the Rockford area. Jeff and I now live in
Rockford with our son, Alexander, dog (Hadley) and two cats (Millicent and Turtle Dove).
In addition to teaching in the district I love, I completed a Master's degree in Educational
Administration iin December 2007.
