I expect each child to read daily with you for 15-20 minutes.  Your child will be bringing home “baggy books” which need to be read.  Books can be read and reread.  There may also be occasional math homework.   Now that we are doing Everyday Math there will be home work assignments.  We will also be taking weekly math time tests on the computer so please practice those math facts.   You can help your child by looking through his/her backpack each night to check for homework.  I understand that once in a while it is not possible to complete an assignment.  If this is the case, please write me a note and the due date will be extended.  Word Wall tests are the last day of the week.   I will try to send Making Words homework home on Fridays. There will be family projects throughout the year and you’ll have ample time to help your child plan.
