I have been a teacher for the past fourteen years. During that time, I have
had experience in first, second, and third grade. I have my bachelors degree
and my masters degree in education.
I love teaching children! Seth Whitman is a wonderful place to work. I love
my job teaching the children. I look forward to coming to work each day.
I strive to create a safe, caring environment where each child is not afraid
to take risks. I strongly encourage the children to take risks throughout
the day,reinforce responsibility, and organization with my students.
I live in Caledonia with my husband, Skip and my children, Jake and Lauren.
Jake is a junior at Belvidere North High School and Lauren is an eighth
grader at Belvidere Central Middle School. I spend a lot of time watching
all of their sporting activities. I love to read, play around on my Mac
computer, visit new places, and spend time with my family and friends. My
whole family is in Wisconsin so you will soon find out that I am a big Green
Bay Packers fan.
I strongly believe that your child's success in school not only depends on
what I do as your child's teacher, but also what you do as a parent to
support your child throughout his/her educational experience. It takes
both of us working hard to make sure that your child is learning and growing
as a student. The second graders are still learning to read. Third grade
is the transition year where they are reading to learn. Please try to spend
that extra time reading each night, practicing spelling words, and math
facts. I'm confident that this year will be successful and memorable for all
of us!
