                     MATH FACTS LOGS
MATH BASIC FACTS LOGS are due on: Sept.8,15,23,29;Oct.6,13,20,27; 
Nov.3,10,17,23;Dec.1,8,15;Jan.12,20,26,;Feb.2,9,17,23; Mar.9,17;Apr.20,
27; May 4,11,18. The math facts log packet was distributed on Aug.27,2009.

 ( Presented at Open House: The students will receive a math log 
worksheet and are expected to review math facts using flashcards and/or one 
of the computer link websites,(2) 15 minute sessions per week, as a homework 
assignment. The student may choose the two days that best fit his/her 
schedule. A parent signature is required on the math log worksheet to 
confirm completion of the assignment. The due date will also be listed on 
the math facts log worksheet. A note may be sent if the log is forgotten at 
school. Below is the basic review fact plan per grade:
Grade 2- addition,subtraction,and some multiplication facts*
Grade 3- addition,subtraction,multiplication,and some division facts* 
Grade 4- addition,subtraction, multiplication,and division facts*
     * Timed quizzes will be administered beginning in November 2009

                             BOOK REPORTS         
  During the months of October through March, students need to complete a 
monthly book report and project. Books selected from the St.Agnes Library are 
preferred to complete our monthly book reports (done in class). The book 
reports,notes,and projects will be counted as reading grades. The due dates 
for the book report notes are as follow: Oct. 20- Biography/Autobiography 
Notes worksheet needs to be completed; Nov.18-Animals, Prewriting Web notes 
worksheet; Dec. 15- Christmas story (religious or secular),Storyboard notes 
worksheet; Jan. 25- Newbery award book, Main Character Web notes 
worksheet;Feb. 19- Presidents,Character Anaysis notes worksheet;Mar. 25-
Poetry,Response Journal notes worksheet.
