Homeroom (Gr.3)
Reading- The Unit 3 Phonics Retake will be on Tuesday Nov. 10th. Students
must complete pages 89-90 and have the original test signed in order to have
the retake test grade count in their average.
The Unit 1 Reading Assessment came home to be signed yesterday as well.
Please make sure this comes back ASAP! This counts toward the homework bonus
points.
Social Studies- Ch. 4 vocabulary terms and definitions are in the Study Sheet
Envelope. The quiz on these FOUR words will be on Friday. I warned the
children that one wrong out of four questions is already a D+. Please make
sure they know these terms inside and out.
Spelling-Unit 10 test on Friday Nov. 13th.. Printed 5x’s each with a heading
on loose leaf is also due Friday! Please remind your child to write the unit
number in the heading.
Religion – Many students did not turn in the Church Year poster that was
their “test” grade for chapters 6-7. They should have created a small
(8.5x11) poster showing the 6 seasons of the church year. Please make sure
your child has completed and turned this in.
Social Studies
Gr. 2 – The Unit 2 Study Guide was completed in class last Friday. Students
will take the Unit 2 Test on Thursday Nov. 12th. The study guide must be
turned in on that day. If it gets misplaced, you can print out an extra copy
of it from the Gr. 2 Study Guide section of the TeacherWeb site.
Gr. 4 – Ch. 3 Tests should have come back signed (with corrections if 75% or
lower). Students should be practicing the 15 vocab terms for Ch. 4. The
quiz will be on Tuesday Nov. 17th.
