I am in need of a parent volunteer on Thursday Dec. 17th for an hour
beginning at 8:55. If you are available, please let me know.

Homeroom (Gr.3)
Reading- The Unit 4 Phonics Test will be sometime this week. Probably
Wednesday or Thursday. Please check the assignment book each night for the
exact date.
We are reading Santa Paws by Nicolas Edwards during the month of December.
There will not be vocabulary words and definitions until we return to the
Reading Book after Christmas break. We will be completing a small “book
report” at the end of the story.
Social Studies- Ch. 5 test will be on Thursday Dec. 17th. The study guide
will come home on Wednesday evening. The students will be allowed to use
their notebooks and text books on the test. Please make sure the study guide
is returned on Thursday.
Spelling-Unit 15 test will be on Thursday Dec. 17th. Printed 5x’s each with
a heading on loose leaf is also due Thursday! Please remind your child to
write the unit number in the heading. This will be the last time it is
printed. For the “New Year”, it will need to be in cursive.
Religion – Ch. 10 Test will be on Wednesday!
Social Studies
Gr. 2 – We will be completing an in class project/activity about being
producers and consumers. There will not be any reading done from the text
this week. Nor will there be any homework/tests/quizzes.
Gr. 4 – Ch. 5 Test will be on Thursday. The study guide went home last
Friday. It needs to be turned in on the test day!
