Homework is meant to strengthen and reinforce concepts that are introduced in
the classroom. Please remember to check your child's folder for homework
and notes. Most of the time the homework will be stamped as homework but any
incomplete work should be completed and returned.
Please practice word binder words every night!
Books in baggies are also part of the daily homework. (after Jan. 1st) I know
this seems like a lot but in first grade they will have homework in different
subjects so this prepares them for the next level. (This is what my job is all
about, teaching and preparing.)
WHEN HOMEWORK IS NOT TURNED IN THE CHILD MOVES THEIR STICK AND IF IT IS NOT
TURNED IN WITHIN THE MONTH IT IS USED AS A STRIKE FOR THE MONTHLY INCENTIVE
DRESS DOWN DAY. AFTER FOUR STRIKES, WHICH INCLUDE BEING TARDY, HOMEWORK, UNIFORM
VIOLATIONS, AND RED BUS, THEY WILL NOT BE INCLUDED IN THE "DRESS DOWN" DAY.
