Reading Update for Grades 5,6,& 7th 12-11-09
Grade 5 In Reading, the students are reading the novel Holes by
Louis Sachar. I have 10 copies in the classroom. Ms. Wegrzyn has about 5
copies. Extra books are needed.
In Social Studies, we have completed Chp. 4. We will begin Chapter 5.
on Monday. The Struggle of the Colonies.
REMEMBER THAT THE STUDENTS SOCIAL STUDIES BOOKS ARE ONLINE!
Grade 6 In Reading, we are nearing the end of Chasing Vermeer and will
begin reading The Wright Three after break. We continue to read in our
literature book.
The Scholastic Book Club orders will not be in before December 18, 2009.
REMEMBER THAT THE STUDENTS READING BOOKS ARE ONLINE!
Vocabulary: Chp 8 The test will be on Wednesday,12-16-09
Religion: Chp 9 The students will begin chp. 9 on Monday.
Grade 7 All the second quarter book reports are in. We have begun
reading The Calder Game today in class. The 3rd quarter book report is due
February 26,2010.
In their reading books we continue on the literature trail.
